KIIT Deemed to be University with Bharatiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) initiated a skill based industry-linked career advancement programme for aspiring civil engine ers to boost their learning process and making industry-ready at School of Civil Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University.

The objective of this programme is to develop engineering and management skills among the aspiring engineers with the concepts and practices of basic Construction Management and infrastructure management techniques, combines subject knowledge with internship practices.

The Programme aims to train young and dynamic graduate engineers to develop them into mature and knowledgeable professional project managers with the potential to manage large and complex projects in India or abroad, and enable them to shoulder responsibility in any functional capacity. Some of the essential competencies are

  • Sound knowledge of theory and practice of project management.
  • Proficiency in engineering and construction of projects in different sectors.
  • Skills in contract, finance and human resource related issues in the projects.
  • Techniques of dealing with quality, planning, software and IT systems.

The electives offered in the Programme allow engineers from different disciplines to select specialized engineering and management subjects to enhance their subject knowledge in tune with careers of their choice.

Industries like Steel, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Construction, Shipbuilding, Aircraft Manufacturing etc. need these professionals for their projects.

The project management professionals are chosen by EPC organizations and engineering consultants to complete the projects effectively. PGDP CM&ID professionals lead projects through their superior techno-managerial, contracting, procurement, communication and leadership skills.
